Plazmaman’s inlet plenum to suit Ford’s increasingly popular 4.0L Barra engine was designed for tough street & race applications, and is used by some of the fastest XR6 Turbo’s in the country. It’s visual appeal also makes a great addition to any show car.
This inlet plenum features an in-house developed spherical tapered dome design, which is created for positive turbulence and equal cylinder air distribution using 6 individual bell mouths on our precision machined CNC baseplate – this is a must for torque development and big top end horsepower. It’s robust construction ensures reliability and longevity, and the plenum weighs in at 3.5kgs.
The plenum is designed to bolt to the factory runners, and has a number of vacuum ports to run factory/aftermarket vacuum sources (boost controllers, MAP sensor, blow off valves etc). The factory fuel rail can be retained, or one of our billet fuel rails can be used. The factory throttle body mounts straight to the front of the plenum, and an additional extension wiring harness can be purchased separately as a direct plug and play (see related items below). Or, if you’re looking for some a little larger, we can make the plenum to suit our universal 72mm, 85mm or 100mm throttle bodies, but please be aware these are not fly-by-wire, so a cable setup will need to be made to suit. This is ideal when doing engine conversions on cars that come with cable throttle operation.
These plenums can be supplied in 3 finishes, Raw, Polished, or Powercoated Black, for the stealth look.
